Lightning protection
Lightning is an extraordinary and spectacular natural phenomenon, but it also must be treated as a considerable danger to buildings, people, and electrical systems and equipment.
External lightning protection aims to provide a striking point for the lighting and then direct the electrical energy to the ground, to prevent damage (fire, explosion, injury)
The installation of lightning protection, as a form of fire protection, is required by national law (eg. National Fire Safety Regulations), while the design and methods of installation are regulated by the associated standards (at present, the MSZ EN 62305 lightning protection standard series).
Our company has a great deal of experience in the design and professional inspection of lightning protection and overvoltage protection systems.
Our design areas, expertise:
- Design of standard lightning protection systems in general and explosive atmospheres according to the National Fire Safety Code and the lightning protection standard MSZ EN 62305
- Design of non-standard lightning protection systems in general and explosive atmospheres according to MSZ 274 and the regulations based on it (BM Decree 2/2002, ÖTM Decree 9/2008)
- Design of surge protection systems in general and explosive environments (for high and low voltage networks, control and process control systems)
